Ava loves to go up and down the stairs... and yes, we let her! (with supervision of course.) Anyway, over the Thanksgiving Holiday, Nathan took the opportunity to show Ava how to get down the stairs by herself. Until now, she would wait at the top of the stairs until we helped her down or just carried her. After talking with several people who said if they go down on their bum, they might tip over (babies are top heavy afterall!), we decided to teach her to go down backwards on her belly. Ava thinks its the best thing in the world, and we have to admit, its much better than having to carry her up and down all the time. And for now, this works, eventually she'll learn to walk down holding onto the railing.

That is soooo cute! She's a pro! We don't have any steps...or any friends or family who do for that matter, so Jadon had to learn to climb at the playground...much scarier, since he didn't get much practice.
