I thought this was too funny not to share...maybe it was too cute, either way...
This morning, like most mornings, I went back to bed for a little while after Nathan left for work. I've found that I feel better if I get a little extra sleep in the mornings. So this morning, after I crawled back into bed and had the covers pulled up to my chin I realized I hadn't set my alarm. Usually I'll set the alarm for 8:30 or so, so I am out of bed by 9. But as I lay there this morning, I didn't want to get up just to grab my cell phone. I could have turned over and used the regular alarm, but I was feeling lazy, and I usually leave it set for when Nathan gets up. Instead I thought I would try an experiment.
For the past few weeks I've noticed that when the alarm goes off Ace is immediately at the door crying. I assumed he could hear when it goes off and thinks we need some extra help getting up. He has also been doing it when I get up the second time. So I decided to see if he had an internal alarm clock.... and he does. 8:59 am and there he was crying/meowing at the door telling me it was time to get up again. I couldn't believe it. So now I don't have to worry about setting an alarm anymore, I'll just wait for Ace to get me up!
