The Adventure That Is Our Life

The Adventure That Is Our Life

I guess it's to be expected now... our posts have been few and far between.  Maybe that's because I'm constantly running around chasing two little girls and trying to keep the house from falling in.

Christmas came and went and brought us many lovely things.  It also brought a couple things that we wished it wouldn't have, colds, sinus infections, and very cold weather.  New Years was here and gone before we knew it and all of a sudden we were celebrating Valentine's Day.  I think this has been the fastest first few months of the year, that we have ever experienced.  Usually the beginning of the year drags on, but already we are at the middle of March and planning stuff for the summer.

The girls, I believe, are more plant based than human.  They just keep growing!  I feel like we are constantly dealing with shoes that are too small and pants that are too short.  These girls couldn't be more different though.  Ava is a incredibly active, literally bouncing 90% of the time, and Hannah is more laid back.  Ava isn't much of a dancer and Hannah is always dancing when she hears even the slightest beat.  And even though their birthdays are only days apart, they are built differently and only some of Ava's old clothes fit Hannah.  But that's okay... everyone needs a few things that are just theirs.

Typical fighting over the bean bag chairs... we do have 2.

 Uh Oh... where'd Hannah go?

In early Feb. we took Ava ice skating.  She had a blast and keeps asking to go back.  We have hopes of getting there before the winter is completely over but the weather is warming up (finally!) and our weekends are filling up quick.  Maybe next year we can see how Hannah does.

We took advantage of the incredibly cold temps to have some fun with bubbles.  Unlike what people tell you, bubbles do NOT instantly freeze when it is below freezing.  They did however begin to freeze after a while.

Then at the end of Feb. I took the girls to Disney on Ice.  It was a Christmas present, and Ava loved it.  Hannah, enjoyed some of it, but had a hard time sitting still.  Of course, it was past nap time.  She ended up sleeping during the last half which gave me the opportunity to take some pictures for Ava.
We also got a nice surprise and ended up seeing my cousin Amanda at the show.  It was great getting to see her, and we are looking forward to seeing her next month at her baby shower!  (Yay for a new baby cousin!)

Life is crazy as usual.  Nathan is working 40+ hours a week and still in school.  We are hoping that he will be done by December, but that all depends on if the classes he needs and wants line up.  Otherwise, we may be looking at next May.  Either way, there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Ava still loves kindergarten and is doing incredibly well.  Her reading ability is amazing and she has recently found a series of Fairy chapter books that she checks out at the library.
Hannah is now 18 months old and into everything.  If you can imagine getting up, eating, playing, eating some more, taking a nap, eating, playing... etc.  Then you can imagine what a great life she has.  It seems every time I turn around the mess I just picked up is now twice as much and covering every inch of the floor.
As for me, I'm holding down the fort and enjoying my health and fitness business.  I'm up early every morning to get my workout in and then to engage with my challengers and encourage them in their journeys.  Nathan thinks I was abducted by aliens, but says he is incredibly proud of me.  And I think he even has the itch to get back into shape.  (Not that he is really out of shape... he's a lucky one!)

Hope to write again soon!
