If I had a million dollars...

have you heard the song by Barenaked Ladies? If not, check it out online, it might give you a good laugh, and then get you thinking. I hadn't ever heard of the song until a friend of mine played it on his guitar and sang it to me back in college. And since then, I haven't even thought of the song, but the idea of having a million dollars popped into my head the other day and I started thinking about what I might do with it.

Actually, the reason it came to mind was that I was cleaning up the kitchen a little, when I heard over the baby monitor that Ava was awake from her nap. As always, there was no time to finish cleaning. Oh, and did I meantion that I hate to clean? I. HATE. TO. CLEAN!!!!! So as I was walking up stairs to get Ava, I decided that if I had that extra million (or shoot just enough to cover the cost) I've have someone come and clean my house, someone who enjoyed cleaning. I still don't understand how someone could enjoy cleaning. I like having things in order, and picked up, and yes I do like having a clean house, but I don't like the process. And lets face it, I don't have the time, let alone the energy most of the time to do it.

My thoughts of what I'd do with the money ended there, because lets be realistic, it won't ever happen... and I had to now focus on our 9 month old who was ready to race around the house chasing the cats. But the thoughts did come back for just a minute or two when I stopped by Babies "R" Us late yesterday to pick up a baby shower gift. If I had the option, Ava would be dressed to the nines.

The things I'd probably do with all that money might sound frivolous, but hey, thats what dreams are for. What would you do with a million dollars?
