Yesterday we finished the rest of our anniversary date by going to a movie. We put off going to a movie last weekend since there wasn't anything out that we wanted to see. So yesterday, we braved the last minute Christmas shoppers and headed up to the Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills to see National Treasure: Book of Secrets. We are both confessed action adventure junkies, and were really excited to see this movie.
Despite running a few minutes late, the Mills is about a 25 minutes away, we got to our seats in time to catch most of the previews including a 'short' starring Disney's Goofy. We even had time to run back out and get some popcorn and a drink.
We don't want to ruin the movie for those of you who might go see it, but it was GREAT! Neither of us take well to sequels, especially if they don't have the same people in them, but every once and a while (and it seems they have gotten better over the years) a movie comes along and has a wonderful sequel. This is one of those movies. It has all the same main characters, plus a few new ones (Helen Mirren & Ed Harris.) It has adventure, great action scenes, a mystery to figure out, plenty of laughs, and of course a little bit of romance mixed in.
We had a wonderful time and recommend this movie for everyone, even kids; it is a Disney movie after all... and rated PG for some violence and action. We would suggest that you see the first National Treasure before seeing the second, but it isn't mandatory.
We've included the link to the website so you can check it out yourself. Have a great weekend!

We went to see it on Friday night--- isn't it FANTASTIC!! Riley cracked me up through the whole movie. LOL, I just laughed thinking of some of his lines. OK, glad you liked it too! It's one of the better sequels I've ever seen :)
