Miss Ava has a personality all her own. She is smart, funny, crazy, silly, hyper, and sometimes seemingly sarcastic. As my Mom always says, there is never a dull moment around here.
We've been pretty lax on taking pictures lately, I think we've been moving too fast to pick up a camera. So I tried to take a few on a couple of specific occasions so that my Mom would have something to take to my Grandmother in Virginia. Here is how our photo shoots went:

These two were just for fun!
Our little acrobat.
Thinking we'll start gymnastics in the fall. Gotta get that energy out somehow.
Mother's Day around here is just like any other day. Unfortunately we rarely put a lot of effort or money into making these days special... the same goes for Father's Day. We tend to do a little more for birthdays. Maybe someday... For me though, Mother's Day was another day of work, it was a Sunday after all. So I headed off to church at 7:30am and met up with the Hubbs and Ava around 10:45am. After church I was able to wrangle Ava for a few pictures... again, getting her to smile nicely is ridiculously hard. (Even when I say "smile for Mimi!")
Mother's Day
5.13.2012
We've had some nicer days in the past couple of weeks and one evening Ava decided she wanted to ride her "bike." Last year we got her this little tricycle to help her learn to ride, and admittedly we probably started her a bit late in this.
She was doing quite well, but it seemed her long legs were giving her some trouble, so I mentioned she might like to try her big pink "bike." It took a few minutes but she started pedaling and ended up doing a much better job on that one. It definitely isn't as easy to ride and is for kids who can pedal better, but she got the hang of it, and with more practice will be riding like a champ. We're glad she likes to ride... now if only the rain would stop so we could go back out and try it again.
It's only the middle of May (HOLY COW!!!!) but our summer activities have already started. We have three wedding this summer, all of which Ava is supposed to be in. Pictures to follow I promise. Plus we've started our summer renovations again now that Na has finished up his semester. It is so good to have him back with us. We only have him for 14 weeks or so before he heads back to school. He is 1.5 years in, and probably has another 3 ahead of him. (One class a semester while he works 50+ hours a week). Then we'll get out of PA (hopefully) and start a new chapter in our life. A new ADVENTURE!
We hope all of you mothers out there had a wonderful Mother's Day.
